Green Knights Battle Past Foresters

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College remained in contention for a Midwest Conference title with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Lake Forest College at the LFC Sports Center. The Green Knights dispatched the Foresters 13-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.

The Green Knights (21-7, 7-1 MWC) trail first-place Cornell College (7-0 MWC) by one game in the loss column, with the Rams facing Illinois College (7-1 MWC) on Saturday in another key matchup.

St. Norbert hit .155 for the match, getting 47 kills with 20 errors in 174 attempts. Grace Baumann totaled with 16 kills, while Katelyn Hanrahan added 11 kills with no errors in 23 attempts. Devon Nardoni ran the offense with 38 assists. Baumann and Nardoni had two service aces apiece.

Liz Maastricht finished with 32 digs, while Colleen DeLisle added 15 digs. Haley Bartz finished with three blocks.

Lake Forest hit .175, with 54 kills and 23 errors in 177 attempts. Isabel Donnelly had a team-high 11 kills.
