St. Norbert Finishes Season Strong at Beloit

LOVES PARK, Ill. - St. Norbert College ended its 2019 season strong with a 4-0 win over Beloit College at Wedgbury Stadium.

The Green Knights (9-8-1, 5-3-1 MWC) finished just one point shy of qualifying for the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament despite finishing the season with a 5-0-1 mark in their last six games.

St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead into halftime after Emily Names' goal at 8:13 held up the rest of the way. Anna Tristani assisted on the marker.

The Green Knights pulled away when Lexi Galante scored her second goal of the season, getting an assist from Lech at the 59:23 mark. Grace Krause scored her second goal of the year with an unassisted score at 76:37, while Lech closed out the match with a goal with 13 seconds remaining. Hanna Lech's fifth goal of the season was assisted by Maddie Thorstad.

St. Norbert outshot Beloit 23-2 and held a whopping 13-0 nod on corner kicks. Ally Magiera made one save for the Green Knights, while a pair of Beloit goalkeepers combined to make five saves.
