DE PERE - St. Norbert College outshot UW-Stevens Point 18-4 in the third period but couldn't find the back of the net in a hard-fought 2-0 loss in a non-conference game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (0-3), returning from a 17-day layoff, battled the Pointers (4-2-1) evenly, but a couple goals by Stevens Point decided the outcome.

Stevens Point scored with 23 seconds left in the first period when Alex Grubbs found twine. The Pointers added to their lead at 18:09 of the second period when Kiley Hahner scored off a rebound,.

St. Norbert would get four power-play chances in the third period, but couldn't draw closer. The Green Knights would have 47 seconds of 5-on-3 time starting at the 17:21 mark, and it turned into a 6-on-3 opportunity when goaltender Anais Aurard came off the ice at 17:52. St. Norbert was able to keep an extra attacker on for the remainder of the game, but did not score.

St. Norbert outshot Stevens Point 35-28, but was 0-for-6 on the power play while the Pointers were 0-for-3. Aurard made 26 saves for the Green Knights, while Olivia Schultz turned away all 35 shots for Stevens Point.
