Green Knights Clipped by St. Scholastica

DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College battled College of St. Scholastica to a 2-1 loss in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The Green Knights were outshot by the Saints 24-20, but held an 8-6 advantage in the third period. Each team had just one penalty in a cleanly played game.

Following a scoreless first period, St. Scholastica took the lead with a goal by Mariah Haedrich at 7:50 of the second period. The Saints doubled their lead when Greta Nundahl added power-play goal at 16:01. St. Norbert would cut into its deficit with a goal by Letti Stafford at 18:35, with Khloe Spors and Paige Nelson assisting.

St. Norbert and St. Scholastica were scoreless in the third period. The Green Knights had 50 seconds of extra-attacker time at the end of the game.

Anais Aurard made 22 saves for St. Norbert, while Lori Huseby made 19 saves for St. Scholastica.

St. Norbert was 0-for-1 on the power play, while St. Scholastica was 1-for-1.
