St. Norbert Closes Out First Half at St. Scholastica

DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College closed out the first half of the regular season with a 4-0 loss to College of St. Scholastica in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The Green Knights outshot the Saints by a 30-20 margin, including 14-8 in the first period, but found themselves trailing 2-0 after the first 20 minutes of action.

St. Scholastica's Taylor Thompson scored shorthanded at 15:31 and Greta Nundahl added a power-play goal at 17:46 of the first period. Following a scoreless second period, the Saints pulled away with a goal by Courtney Bloemke at 17:04 and an empty-net marker by Thompson at 19:57.

St. Norbert was 0-for-5 on the power play, while St. Scholastica was 1-for-7.

Anais Aurard made 16 saves for the Green Knights, with Lexi Thomeczek making 30 stops for the Saints.
