Green Knights Blank Marian In Road Win

FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College turned in a solid effort as the Green Knights rolled to a 4-0 win over Marian University in a non-conference game at Blue Line Family Ice Center.

The Green Knights were in control throughout, surging out to a 2-0 lead after one period and holding a decisive 39-18 shots-on-goal advantage for the game.

Jordan Moore opened the scoring with a goal at 13:47 of the first period, finishing off a Hannah Hickman assist. The Green Knights doubled their lead when Lisa Lenell converted her first goal of the season, scoring on a 4-on-4 chance off helpers from Eve Parker and Lauren Arnholt at 19:30.

That lead would hold up all the way until the early stages of the third period, when Parker scored 40 seconds in for her fifth goal of the season, with Moore getting the assist. Gaby Turer salted away the win with a goal at 5:50, her fourth of the season. Khloe Sports and Lenell assisted.

Moore, Lenell and Parker all had one goal and one assist for two-point games for the Green Knights.

Anais Aurard made 18 saves for the Green Knights to post her second shutout of the season. Maggie Cusey made 35 saves for the Sabres.

St. Norbert was 0-for-2 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-4.
