Green Knights Fall In Overtime to Bulldogs

DE PERE - St. Norbert College dropped the second game of its Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series with Adrian College with a 3-2 overtime loss at Cornerstone Community Center.

The Bulldogs' Joey Colatarci buried the game-winning goal 38 seconds into overtime to give the visitors a split of the two game series,.

St. Norbert, which won the Friday opener 1-0, got on the board first when Peter Bates scored at 11:43 of the second period. The Green Knights looked to add to their lead when they had a 5-on-3 power-play chance later in the period but Adrian's Sam Ruffin scored a shorthanded goal at 16:40. St. Norbert would get the goal back later in the sequence when Brendan Aird scored a power-player marker at 17:39.

The Green Knights would carry their one-goal lead through the middle of the third period until Colatarci scored Adrian's second shorthanded goal of the game at 10:49.

Adrian outshot St. Norbert 31-28, including 16-4 in the third period and overtime. Colby Entz made 28 saves for the Green Knights, while Cameron Gray made 26 saves for Adrian.

St. Norbert was 1-for-7 on the power play, while Adrian was 0-for-6.
