Green Knights Finish In Top Four at Emory Crossplex Meet

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - St. Norbert College finished in fourth place at the highly competitive Emory University Crossplex Showdown held at the Birmingham Crossplex.

The Green Knights finished in fourth place with 66 points, placing as the top NCAA Division III school in the team standings. NCAA Division II schools Lee (Tenn.) University won the team title with 133.5 points and West Georgia University was second with 81 points. The University of Alabama-Huntsville, also a Division II school, was third with 77 points.

The distance medley relay of Joyana Tarsa, Maddie LeBrun, Morgan McClone and Kelley Gardipee finished in first place with a time of 12:48.25.

Emmy Larson finished in a tie for second place in the high jump with a height of 5 feet 1 inch. Lauren Rottier tied for fourth at 4-11, while Sydney Spaeth was tied for sixth at 4-11. Sara DeGroot tied for third place in the pole vault by clearing a height of 10-11 3/4.

Audrey Makope finished fourth in the 60-meter dash in 7.94 seconds. Tarsa was fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:18.85, while LeBrun was sixth in 2:20.46. Gardipee finished fifth in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:26.78. Daijah Brown, Brianne Barta, Hailey Ruplinger and Nya Nazario finished in fifth place in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:09.20. Sydney Spaeth was fifth in the triple jump at 33-10 1/4 and Hannah Mader was eighth at 32-10.5.

Barta finished sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.60 followed by McClone in eighth place at 1:01.80. Emma Sweere was sixth in the weight throw at 46-7 1/2, while Katherine Wanie was seventh in the long jump at 16-7 3/4.
