Holmstrom Leads St. Norbert at Private College Championship

KENOSHA - St. Norbert College freshman Katelyn Holmstrom led the Green Knights to a fourth-place team finish at the Wisconsin Private College Championship at Carthage College.

The Green Knights scored 51 points. Carthage won the team title with 273 1/2 points, while Carroll University was second with 116 1/2 points. Lawrence University was third with 86 points.

Holmstrom picked up an individual title in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.64. Holmstrom was also part of two third-place showings in the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays. She teamed with Rachel Koch, Sophia Thompson and Clare Santas in the 200 medley with a time of 1:59.37. Amelia Wilcox, Holmstrom, Santas and Nya Karner turned in a time of 1:49.42 in the 200 freestyle.

Koch was fourth in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:33.98, while Thompson was fourth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.47. Kristen Williams was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:14.99.
