St. Norbert Rallies Past Marian

DE PERE - St. Norbert College rallied from a 2-1 deficit midway through the third period to claim a 3-2 victory over Marian University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights fell behind 2-1 when the Sabres' Morgan Bolin scored at 7:06 of the third period. St. Norbert drew even moments later when Lisa Lenell scored at 9:41 for his second goal of the season, finishing off a Libbie Doney assist. The Green Knights then scored the eventual game-winning goal when Eve Parker connected for the sixth time this year with a finish at 10:43 off a Jordan Moore helper.
Marian had an extra attacker on for the final 1 minute 33 seconds, but couldn't get the equalizer.
St. Norbert led 1-0 after the first period, after Paige Nelson scored her second goal of the season at the 13:35 mark. Lauren Arnholt and Doney registered assists. Marian's Brooke Anderson forged a 1-1 tie after two periods after her goal at 3:42 of the second period.
Doney had the lone multi-point game for St. Norbert with two assists.
St. Norbert outshot Marian 19-18. Anais Aurard made 16 saves for the Green Knights, while Maggie Cusey made 16 stops for the Sabres.
There were just three penalties in the game, with Marian scoreless on its only power-play chance. St. Norbert did not have a power-play opportunity.
