St. Norbert Tops Trine For Third-Straight Win

DE PERE - St. Norbert College rallied from a third-period deficit for the second time in three games and went on to claim a big 3-2 win over Trine University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (6-14, 5-6 NCHA) won their third consecutive game, their longest winning streak since Nov. 3-10, 2017. St. Norbert also moved two points in front of the Thunder for sixth place in the NCHA standings, significant due to the top six teams qualify for the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs.

St. Norbert fell behind 2-1 at the 5:22 mark of the third period when Trine's Theresa DiMaggio scored. The Green Knights would get a power-play chance midway through the period when Trine's Grace Canty was cited for body checking. St. Norbert capitalized on the power-play chance, with Ava Jaschke scoring her second goal of the season with a marker at 11:56.

The Green Knights would pull ahead at 14:59, when Eve Parker scored her second goal of the night and eighth of the year. St. Norbert would hold the Thunder at bay the rest of the way, including the final 30 seconds when Trine brought on an extra attacker.

St. Norbert took the early lead when Parker scored just 1:13 into the game. Trine would pull even at 1-1 when Eryn Isaacson scored at 9:24 of the first.

Parker assisted on Jaschke's goal to finished with a three-point game for the only multi-point game for the Green Knights.

Trine outshot St. Norbert 25-22, but Anais Aurard made 23 saves for the Green Knights. Molly Scarborough made 19 saves for the Thunder.

St. Norbert was 1-for-2 on the power play, while Trine was 0-for-3.
