St. Norbert Blanks Illinois College, Beloit

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College extended its winning streak to six with a pair of 9-0 wins over Illinois College and Beloit College at Western Racquet Club.

St. Norbert (13-8) handily won against the Blueboys, which had just four singles matches and two doubles contests. Nate Tackaberry and Ethan Kadow both won 6-0, 6-0 at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, respectively, over Scott Kramer and Mitchell Davidson. Jordan Bauer and Mike Hyrczyk won at No. 1 doubles 8-1 over Michael Evans and Derek Sloan. Eric Koppmann and Matt Schmitz topped Kramer and Davidson 8-1 and No. 2 doubles.

The Green Knights dropped just seven games in singles action against Beloit. Koppmann beat Evan Orman 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, while Tommy Weiler beat Geoff Wickens 6-0, 6-0 and No. 6 singles. Tackaberry beat Ricky Thorson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, while Schmitz had a 6-0, 6-1 win over Ben Robinson at No. 5 singles. Koppmann and Schmitz topped Thorson and Robinson 8-0 at No. 2 doubles, and Tackaberry and Weiler beat Dylan Kocinski and Brian Liewergen 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
