St. Norbert Men Thinclads Place Third at Oshkosh

OSHKOSH - The St. Norbert College men's track and field team placed third at the UW-Oshkosh Indoor Invitational. The Green Knights totaled 45 points and finished behind UW-Oshkosh and North Central and ahead of Ripon.
Dann Schneider led St. Norbert with a win in the 400-meter run, sprinting home in a time of 50.77 seconds, narrowly nipping North Central's Greg Jackson by two-hundredths of a second for the win.
St. Norbert's distance medley of Ben Knapp, John Barrett, Austin Gabrielse and Eric DeSalvo placed second with a time of 12:07.89.
Paul Leeman registered a pair of top-four finishes. The sophomore took third in the triple jump with a leap of 44 feet 8 inches. He also placed fourth in the high jump with a top effort of 6 feet.
Tony Dionne had St. Norbert's other top-four finish with a fourth-place heave of 44-4 3/4 in the shot put.
