Yost Named First Team, Jandron Second Team on ABCA All-Central Region Team

DE PERE - Junior outfielder Jared Yost and junior infielder Tony Jandron have both received accolades on the American Baseball Coaches Association All-Central Region team.

Yost was named to the first team as an outfielder, while Jandron earned second-team honors as a utility player.

Yost, a De Pere native, hit .465 this season and hit safely in 35 of 38 games. Yost, who has had a hit in 58 of his last 63 collegiate games, tied a school record with 74 hits and also hit 14 doubles with 30 runs batted in. He also led the team with 22 stolen bases.

Jandron, a Negaunee, Mich., native, hit .352 and posted team highs with six home runs and 47 runs batted in. On the mound, Jandron was 4-4 and struck out 51 hitters in 49 innings pitched.

St. Norbert finished the season 23-15 and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, where it finished tied for fifth at the Midwest Regional.
