Schadrie's Overtime Game-Winner Lifts Green Knights Past Grinnell

DE PERE - Jessica Schadrie scored an overtime game-winning goal to lift St. Norbert College to a 2-1 win over Grinnell College in a Midwest Conference match at the Minahan Stadium Complex.

Schadrie's marker came 7 minutes 16 seconds into the extra session. Stephanie Gatyas took the ball up the sideline and passed to Jordan Schwanke, who found Schadrie in front of the net.

St. Norbert (6-6, 4-1 MWC) scored first when Ann Maki's blast from out front found the upper right corner at 19:30, with Katherine Larson posting the assist.

Grinnell (5-7-1, 2-2-1 MWC) tied the game on Kirsten Louthan's long kick from about 30 yards out found the top corner off an assist from Mary Ulseth at 67:22.

Grinnell had a golden opportunity to win the game in overtime, but two point-blank shots went off the post and was saved.

St. Norbert outshot Grinnell 15-6, and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Cara Tazioli made three saves for St. Norbert, while Laura McElroy made four stops for the Pioneers.
