Four Softball Players Recognized by NFCA

DE PERE - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has recognized St. Norbert College and four of its softball players for academic excellence during the 2009 season.

The Green Knights' team was recognized for having a team grade point average of 3.25. Individuals honored as NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes were Brieanne Oehlke (jr. - catcher - Weyawega), Kristin Zimmerman (so. - infielder - Green Bay), Kim Sawyer (sr. - outfielder - Egg Harbor) and Kayla Krueger (so. - pitcher - Denmark). Individuals had to acquire a 3.5 GPA for the year.

St. Norbert went 17-19 in 2009 but won the Midwest Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
