Schadrie's Two Goals Lift Green Knights Past Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. - Jessica Schadrie scored a pair of goals and one assist to lead St. Norbert College to a 4-1 Midwest Conference women's soccer victory of Monmouth College at Peacock Park.

The Green Knights, who won their third-straight game, improved to 7-6 on the season and 5-1 in the MWC. Monmouth fell to 3-9-1, 2-2-1.

The match was scoreless until nearly halftime until Ann Maki put in a rebound off a Schadrie shot at 40 minutes 16 seconds.

Schadrie gave St. Norbert a 2-0 lead at 58:00 off an assist from Stephanie Gatyas. Monmouth's Becca Bauer cut the lead to 2-1 with a goal at 63:21, but Schadrie answered 42 seconds later with her eighth goal of the season, getting an assist from Maki.

Katie O'Neil scored her first collegiate goal at 88:24 for St. Norbert's last goal.

Monmouth outshot St. Norbert by a 15-14 count, with the Green Knights owning a 4-0 corner kicks advantage. Cara Tazioli made eight saves for St. Norbert, wthil Katerina Meletis had four saves for the Scots.
