St. Norbert Finishes Second at Wisconsin Lutheran

MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College finished in second place at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warrior Relays held at Raabe Stadium.

The Green Knights registered 204.5 points to finish 34 points behind the first-place pace of 238.5 points by the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Beloit College was a distant third with 107.5 points.

Dann Schneider won two events to lead St. Norbert's individual performances. Schneider claimed the title in the 200-meter dash, handily winning with a time of 23.70 seconds. Schneider also won the long jump with a leap of 21-4 3/4.

Louis Ayensu-Mensah won the 100-meter dash with a sprint of 12.20 seconds. John Barrett topped the field in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:38.23.

St. Norbert's 4x100-meter relay (Ayensu-Mensah, Schneider, Kirk Fishel, Andrew Verfuerth) finished with a winning time of 44.07 seconds. The 800-meter sprint medley (David Mason, Jake Day, Tyler Seidl, Stephen Schumacher) also won, finishing in 1:39.26. The distance medley (Mackenzie Laska, Schneider, Ham Dowden, Jon O'Brien) finished in first with a time of 10:52.27.

Fishel finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.23 seconds and was third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.34.

In field events, Tony Dionne was second in the shot put (42-6) and Bryon Betts was third in the discus (129-1).
