Dance Team Wins Pom, Runner-Up In Jazz at DX Americup Championship

MINNEAPOLIS - The St. Norbert College dance team placed highly in two divisions at the DX Americup Championship held Feb. 19-20 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The Green Knights took first place in the Collegiate Pom division and claimed the grand championship. St. Norbert also finished second in Collegiate Jazz.

The St. Norbert pom performance was to a Britney Spears remix choreographed by dance alumna Jessica Magnin. The jazz routine was to "Our Own House" choreographed by seniors Emily Vetter and Olivia Koehn.

The dance team, which performs at halftime of home St. Norbert football and basketball games, also participated at the Ashwaubenon High School Dance Invitational in December. The Green Knights were second in collegiate pom and third in collegiate jazz.
