St. Norbert in Fourth Place After First Day

MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College is in fourth place after the first day of the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Zorn Memorial Stadium.

The Green Knights totaled 25 1/2 points after the six events contested on opening day. Monmouth College is in first place with 91 points, while Illinois College is in second with 44 points and Cornell College third with 38 1/2 points.

Noah Kleiman led St. Norbert with a second-place finish in the high jump at 6 feet 2 inches. He added a sixth place-showing in the pole vault at 11-2 1/4 inches.

Max Schermacher was third in the pole vault at 14-1 3/4, while Samuel Fletcher was tied for eighth at 9-8 1/2.

Matt Holloway was seventh in the 1,500-meter run at 4:08.95, while Jacob Dickman was seventh in the 10,000-meter run in 33:56.07.

Nathan King finished seventh in the discus at 125-9, while Eric Herman was eighth at 120-7. Dominic DiBenedetto was eighth in the hammer throw at 137-4.
