St. Norbert Finishes Fifth at MWC Meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in fifth place at the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Monmouth College's April Zorn Memorial Stadium.

The Green Knights finished with 88 1/2 points. Monmouth College won the team title with 201 points, followed by Illinois College in second with 136 points, Cornell College in third with 115 1/2 points and Beloit College in fourth place with 90 points.

Dominic DiBenedetto had St. Norbert's best individual finish, placing second in the shot put with a distance of 49 feet 2 1/4 inches.

Sam Stelloh was third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.11 seconds, while Noah Kleiman was fourth in 55.95 seconds. Kleiman took third in the javelin throw with a distance of 152-10, followed by Max Schermacher in fifth place at 151-5 and Anthony Rieder was sixth at 144-3.

Stelloh posted a fourth-place showing in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.46 seconds, while Kleiman was fifth in 16.06 seconds. Matt Holloway was fourth in the 800-meter run in 1:58.58, and Andrew LeMay was fifth in 1:58.78.

Braxton Thompson finished in fifth place in the triple jump at 42 feet 3 1/2 inches, while Rieder was seventh in the shot put at 41-10 3/4.

Adam Weigman, Nic Greenlaw, Thompson and Stelloh were fifth-place finishers in the 4x100-meter run at 44.10 seconds, while Stelloh, Michael DeGroot, Gregory Bernasek and LeMay were sixth in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:27.25.
