St. Norbert Opens Midwest Conference Play

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College opened Midwest Conference play with a pair of matches at Western Racquet & Fitness Club, dropping a 7-2 decision to Cornell College and a 9-0 setback to Grinnell College.

The Green Knights' two wins on the day came in singles action against the Rams. Hannah Swajanen picked up a 6-2, 2-6, 10-6 win over Megan Pope at No. 4, while Nicole Pfotenhauer also earned a three-set victory with a 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 triumph over Emmaline Fievet at No. 5.

Against Grinnell, Sofie Koppmann extended Emma Gaydos to three sets at No. 2 singles before falling 1-6, 6-3, 10-3.
