St. Norbert Sweeps Lawrence In MWC Opener

DE PERE - St. Norbert College opened Midwest Conference play with a 3-0 win over Lawrence University on Connie Tilley Court at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center. The Green Knights topped the Vikings 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.

St. Norbert, which improved to 59-0 all-time in the all-time series with Lawrence, hit .423 in the first set to take charge. The Green Knights pulled away late in each of the last two sets to seal the win.

The Green Knights hit .277 for the match, finishing with 46 kills and 18 errors in 101 attempts. Grace Baumann and Halie Ferry had 14 kills apiece, while Lexie Van Hiel added seven kills. Emily Rohloff had 21 assists and Danielle Dolan added 20 assists. Baumann finished with three service aces, while Ferry had two.

Jaisah Lee finished with a match-high 11 digs, while Baumann added 10 digs. Van Hiel finished with three blocks.

Lawrence hit .179 in the match, finishing wiht 26 kills and 11 errors in 84 attempts. Vikings standout Arianna Neumeyer finished with 11 kills against one error in 31 attempts.
