Green Knights Fifth After First Day at MWC Championship

GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College is in fifth place after the first of three days at the Midwest Conference Swimming and Diving Championship at Grinnell College's Osgood Pool.

The Green Knights have 70 points after the first day of action. Grinnell leads with 321 points, while Lake Forest College is second with 233 points. Lawrence University is third with 159 points, while Illinois College is fourth with 106 points.

The 200-yard freestyle relay of Miranda Wilson, Clare Santas, Emily Frey and Haley Wagner was fourth in 1:43.27. The 400-yard medley relay of Brittney Zimmer, Kirsten Williams, Nya Karner and Sarah Vigil was eighth with a time of 4:43.42.

Wilson was 10th in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:18.59, while Karner was 10th in 1-meter diving with 183.00 points.

Santas finished 14th in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:35.62, while Williams was 16th in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.19 seconds.
