Herman Wins Twice as St. Norbert Takes Lawrence Invitational

APPLETON - St. Norbert College sophomore Eric Herman won a pair of field events to lead the Green Knights to the team title at the Lawrence University Invitational at Whiting Field.

The Green Knights totaled 83 points, finishing ahead of second-place Ripon College's 53 points.

Herman won both the shot put and the hammer throw, finishing with respective distances of 43 feet 0 1/4 inches and 117-10.

Jaxsen Schermacher won the pole vault with a clearance of 14-1 1/4, while Max Schermacher threw the javelin 143-5 for a victory. Oren Kestell won the high jump at 6-4 3/4 while Travis Heschke took the long jump at 20-0 1/2.

Sam Stelloh claimed the 400-meter hurdles in 56.31 seconds, while Joe Gasick won the 800-meter run in 1:58.42.
