DE PERE - St. Norbert College has named Tim Dean its women's tennis coach, athletics director Tim Bald announced.

Dean spent two seasons as the head women's and men's tennis coach at NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay from 2016 to 2018. Dean led the Phoenix men to a second-place finish in 2017 and to the semifinals of the Horizon League Tournament in 2018.

"We are happy Tim Dean will be leading our women's tennis program," Bald said. "Tim is familiar within the Green Bay tennis community and is an experienced teacher of tennis. We look forward to him guiding the program."

Dean is the tennis professional at Western Racquet and Fitness and Oneida Golf and Country Club, both in Green Bay.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to coach a team with such a strong history," Dean said. "St. Norbert is a beautiful place with a great reputation in our community. I believe with our full effort, a positive attitude, and having good sportsmanship we can only add to that reputation."

Dean competed collegiately at College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., where he won four Upper Midwest Athletic Conference championships (two in singles, two in doubles). He was named a first-team All-UMAC selection in 2009 and 2010 and played on a pair of UMAC Tournament championship teams.
