Tarsa Finishes 10th In Steeplechase at NCAA Championship

GENEVA, Ohio - St. Norbert College senior Graceanne Tarsa narrowly missed All-America honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship at SPIRE Institute.

Tarsa capped a stellar career for the Green Knights with a 10th-place finish, just 6 1/2 seconds out of the top eight on an 85-degree morning. Tarsa finished with a time of 11:12.69. NCAA record-holder Annie Rodenfels of Centre College won the national championship with a time of 10:22.32.

Tarsa won five Midwest Conference track and field championships this year as well as the league's individual cross country title. The Traverse City, Mich., native won Outstanding Track Performer at the MWC Indoor and Outdoor championships this season.
