Gasick Powers St. Norbert at Concordia Invitational

MEQUON - St. Norbert College earned the team title of the Concordia University Wisconsin Ken Weidt Cross Country Classic behind the individual championship of junior Joe Gasick.

The Green Knights totaled 25 points to comfortably finish in front of Carthage College, which finished second with 58 points. Gasick became just the fourth individual to win an event in the last 15 years for St. Norbert, covering the 8-kilomter course in 26 minutes 39 seconds.

St. Norbert finished with eight runners in the top 13 places.

Connor Sisel finished fourth in 27:14, while Evan McVittie was fifth in 27:29. Matt Holloway placed seventh with a time of 27:44, and Peyton Janto closed out St. Norbert's scoring with an eighth-place finish in 27:47.

Randy Johnson was 11th in 28:06, followed by Ethan Sowl in 12th in 28:16 and Miles Mulder in 13th place at 28:19.
