St. Norbert Finishes Third at MWC Championship

DAHINDA, Ill. - St. Norbert College had its best finish at the Midwest Conference Championship since 2013 with a third-place showing at the 2019 meet at Oak Run Golf Course.

The Green Knights finished with 85 points. Grinnell College won the team title with 65 points, while Monmouth College was second with 79 points. Lawrence University's Joe Kortenhof won the individual title with an 8-kilomter time of 26:55.

St. Norbert had four harriers finish in the Top 20 to garner All-Midwest Conference accolades.

Joe Gasick finished with in 27:48, while Randy Johnson placed 17th in 28:16. Matt Holloway finished in 18th place in 28:16, while Miles Mulder placed 20th in 28:17.

Aaron Mickelson posted a 22nd-place finish in 28:44, followed by Evan McVittie in 27th place in 29:04 and Matthew McKendry was 29th in 29:08.

Peyton Janto earned the MWC Elite 20 Award for 2019 men's cross country for having the best grade point average among all competitors.
