Van Hiel, Baumann Earn AVCA All-Midwest Region Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior middle blocker Lexie Van Hiel and sophomore outside hitter Grace Baumann both earned honors on the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Midwest Region team.

Van Hiel earned All-Midwest Region honors, while Baumann received honorable mention status.

Van Hiel, an Elgin, Ill., native, played in 116 sets and finished the season with a robust .368 hitting percentage. Van Hiel posted 329 kills against 79 errors in 680 attempts. She also had a team-high 84 blocks and added 28 digs.

Baumann, a West Bend native, played in 119 sets and hit .184 on the year. Baumann had a team-high 451 kills with 219 errors in 1,263 attempts. Baumann was also second on the team with 398 digs and added 50 blocks and 26 service aces.

St. Norbert finished the season 24-9 overall and 8-1 in the Midwest Conference.
