St. Norbert Opens Southern Trip

GULF SHORES, Ala. - St. Norbert College opened its January road trip with an exhibition triangular against the University of Jamestown and the University of Mobile at Gulf Shores Sportsplex.

The Green Knights claimed 11 first-place finishes in individual events.

Maddie LeBrun won two events - taking the 200-meter dash in 26.38 seconds and the 600-meter run in 1:37.24. Audrey Makope took the 60-meter dash in 8.01 seconds, while Katherine Wanie won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.89 seconds.

Brianne Barta won the 300-meter dash in 44.79 seconds, while Cora Purdue won the 400-meter dash in 1:02.50. Hailey Ruplinger took the 800-meter run in 2:34.14, followed by Joyana Tarsa's 1,000-meter performance of 3:04.73.

In field events, Lauren Rottier won the pole vault at 9 feet, Emma Sweere took the shot put at 38-5 1/2, and Sydney Spaeth claimed the triple jump in 33-10.
