Green Knights Sweep Ripon In Dual Win

DE PERE - St. Norbert College won all 16 contested events and swam past Ripon College by a 196-51 score in a dual meet held at Mulva Pool.

St. Norbert sophomore Ben Stolberg broke the school and Mulva Pool records in the 100-yard backstroke for the second time in two days turning in a time of 54.80 seconds. Stolberg also won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.23.

Stolberg led off the winning 200-yard medley relay, teaming with Wayne King, Matt Trotter and Jeffrey Green to post a time of 1:39.43. Killian Riley, King, Trotter and Stolberg won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:21.15.

Trotter won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.83 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 50.40 seconds. Killian Riley won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.36 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:19.08. Peter Martin also won twice, taking the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:27.72) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:09.63). Will Bethard won both diving events with scores of 157.70 and 107.05.

King took the 50-yard freestyle in 22.03 seconds and finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:19.50. Ray Scribano won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:10.49 and was second in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:05.23. Jason Hunt finished first in the 200-yard butterfly (2:09.38) and was second in the 100-yard butterfly (57.93). Sam Martin won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.10.

Dallas Garza Laurin was second in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:59.17. Jared Ashburn was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:05.49, while Jared Kort was second in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:11.82.
