ADRIAN, Mich. - A late rally by St. Norbert College wasn't quite enough as the Green Knights lost 3-2 to Adrian College in the championship game of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Playoffs at Arrington Ice Arena.

The Green Knights (17-10-2) scored two goals 17 seconds apart in the third period to tie the game at 2-2, but Harris Cup Playoffs Most Valuable Player Rex Moe scored at 11:12 of the third period to give the Bulldogs (21-5-3) the lead. St. Norbert had 1 minute 19 seconds of extra-attacker time and put five shots on Adrian goaltender Cameron Gray in the final 39 seconds, but time ran out on the Green Knights' effort to force overtime and potentially extend their season into the NCAA Tournament.

After a scoreless first period, Adrian took a 2-0 lead into second intermission behind a power-play goal by Joey Colatarci at 4:16 and a marker by Moe at 10:39.

St. Norbert would get back into the game with a flurry, with Keegan Milligan scoring his fifth goal of the season at 6:36. Peyton Frantti then brought the Green Knights even with his 15th goal of the year, scoring at 6:53.

Adrian held a 29-16 shots advantage through the first two periods, but the Green Knights pushed in the third period with a 21-16 edge to bring the final total to 45-37. St. Norbert goaltender Colby Entz made 42 saves and was named to the Harris Cup Playoffs All-Tournament Team, along with St. Norbert forward Kurt Black and defenseman Brendan Aird. Gray made 35 saves for Adrian.

Adrian was 1-for-4 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-3.
