Five Qualify For NCAA Division III Indoor Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College women's track and field will be sending five athletes to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship this weekend at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The quartet of junior Brianne Barta, sophomore Daijah Brown, junior Morgan McClone and senior Maddie LeBrun has qualified for the 4x400-meter relay. LeBrun has also qualified for the 400-meter dash, while sophomore Audrey Makope qualified for the 60-meter dash.

The 4x400-meter relay is the No. 9 seeding out of 12 entries with a qualifying time of 3:53.01. The preliminary heats will be contested at 3:30 p.m. EDT Friday while the final is set for 5:15 p.m. EDT Saturday. The Green Knights' finished eighth in the 4x400-meter relay at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championship.

LeBrun is the No. 9 seeding out of 20 entries with a qualifying time of 57.34 seconds. The preliminary heats will be at 4:05 p.m. EDT Friday and the final will take place at 3:20 p.m. EDT Saturday.

Makope is the No. 14 seeding out of 20 contestants with a time of 7.71 seconds. The preliminary heats will be run at 4:05 p.m. Friday and the championship final will be contested at 3:40 p.m. EDT Saturday. Makope also qualified for the 60-meter dash at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championship.
