Drew Vanderlin

Defensive Coordinator
Linebackers Coach

Drew Vanderlin is in his fourth season as the St. Norbert defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

Vanderlin led the St. Norbert defense to an outstanding 2018 season. The Green Knights advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Playoffs while posting four shutouts. St. Norbert ended the second ranked second nationally in team pass efficiency defense, third in turnovers gained and passing yards allowed, fifth in interceptions and sixth in total defense. The Green Knights also scored eight defensive touchdowns.

Vanderlin arrived at St. Norbert after spending four seasons as the defensive line coach and head strength and conditioning coach at UW-Stevens Point. Vanderlin helped develop nine all-conference defensive linemen during his first three seasons with the Pointers, including two All-Americans.

Vanderlin, a Green Bay native, was a decorated player at Michigan Tech University as a four-year starter on the defensive line and finished his career with the second-most sacks in school history. Named a first-team All-GLIAC performer as a junior and senior, he was selected a team captain twice and was also named the Huskies' defensive lineman of the year two times.

Following his collegiate career, he participated in Rookie Orientation Camps with the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers, and was signed to the Packers' practice squad in 2013.

Vanderlin is a 2011 graduate of Michigan Tech with a degree in exercise science.
