Assistant Coach of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
Megan Betz is in her third year as St. Norbert College’s first full-time track and field/cross country assistant coach.
Betz helped St. Norbert to a banner year in 2015, with the men's and women's squads both capturing the Midwest Conference outdoor championships. It was the men's first conference championship in school history, while the women - who also won the MWC indoor title - won their first league championships since 1991.
Betz arrived at St. Norbert after spending two years as an assistant coach at Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D. Betz, a DeWitt, Iowa, native, coached primarily jumps and select field events on the Wolves’ coaching staff.
Betz competed collegiately at the University of Montana from 2006 to 2010, specializing in the high jump and hurdles events. A team captain during her junior and senior years, Betz helped the Grizzlies to three top-three Big Sky Conference finishes. Betz placed in the top eight in the multi or high jump six times.
