Our students’ commitment to service takes them all over the world – even to Zambia, Africa!

We’re Serious About Service

Whether it’s on campus, in the local community or on the other side of the world, our students believe in helping others. Just ask the roughly 300 first-year students who dedicated one of their first days on campus to participating in Into the Streets – our one-day community immersion service event.

Or, you could ask one of the 100+ students who spent their spring or winter break last year taking part in TRIPS, our alternative break service program.

Sturzl Center for Community Service & Learning
The Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning helps to connect our students, faculty, staff and alumni to work that promotes the common good. The center is grounded firmly in the idea that service-learning paired with reflection can be a medium for personal growth and life-changing experiences.
