The founder and director of the
Arden Institute is to deliver the Commencement address at this year’s graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 11.
Tamar March heads the Radcliffe-affiliated institute, an educational arm of the Shakespeare and Company theatre group based in Lenox, Mass.
She will receive one of four honorary doctorate degrees to be conferred at this year’s Commencement.
Leonard C. Liebmann ’36 will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree in recognition of his undying loyalty to St. Norbert College, for his love of young people and for his lifelong demonstration of the Norbertine principle of self-emptying service.
President William Hynes and his wife,
Margaret Shurgot, will receive honorary Doctor of Laws degrees for their significant contributions to St. Norbert College and the community, along with the legacy they will leave.
The President’s Medal will be awarded this year to
Michael Marsden, dean of the college and academic vice president, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and service to the institution.
Commencement takes place at 1:30 p.m. in the Schuldes Sports Center on campus.
