Room and Meal Plan refunds for students

March 26, 2020

Dear Students,

We know questions about housing and Meal Plan refunds have, understandably, been important to you all through these challenging times. It’s important that we do what we can as a college to help mitigate the effect of these disappointing circumstances – disappointing for our whole community but most particularly for you, our students.

We’re glad to be able to share with you today that the college will be issuing refunds prorated for the second half of the semester, reflecting your inability to live on campus for the rest of this semester. The college will begin applying the housing and Meal Plan adjustments next week. Refunds will be issued by May 8.

Housing Refunds

Note: The percentage refund you will receive depends on the date you vacated your campus residence. “Vacated” means, no longer living in campus housing. We understand you may still have belongings left on campus but that does not impact your refund.
  • Students vacating housing as of March 31 will receive a 50 percent refund of their spring-semester housing cost.
  • Students who received an exception to remain on campus but vacate their housing between April 1-25 will receive a 25 percent refund of their spring-semester housing cost.
  • Students who received an exception to remain on campus and who vacate their housing after April 25 will not receive a refund.

Meal Plan Refunds

  • For students who vacated housing the unused balance on Meal Plans and Meal Dollars accounts will be refunded.
