Update to faculty and staff: A couple of updates on Phases One and Two of our return-to-campus plan

June 19, 2020

Dear Faculty and Staff,

As you make plans for summer and beyond, we thought it may be helpful to let you know that we expect to remain in the current phase – Phase One – of our return-to campus plan through the end of July. Plans are coming together swiftly for Phase Two and beyond. Those plans will be shared as soon as they are finalized.

Below is one additional note related to our current phase, Phase One:

Meeting and event planning

  • During Phase 1, all meetings, gatherings, events and programs on campus are limited to 10 people or fewer.
  • Meeting remotely is preferred but, if this is not possible, Conference & Event Services is equipped to host small events and meetings in a manner that adheres to proper physical distancing guidelines. There are many rooms on campus that can comfortably accommodate 10 people who are physically distanced.
  • Catering is available for groups of 10 or fewer. The catering staff has prepared menus and service plans that adhere to the established protocols developed by our local public health authorities.
  • Wearing masks on campus is a requirement in Phase 1, except for those working alone in their private workspaces. This requirement extends to small meetings held in conference and event spaces.
We appreciate your flexibility, patience and understanding as we plan our return to campus. If you have unanswered questions, or topics you would like us to consider in our planning, you can reach out to your supervisor or submit them to covid19response@snc.edu.

As always, please monitor email and https://www.snc.edu/covid19/ for new information. Supervisors, please communicate proactively with staff who may not have regular access to email.
