Update to masking protocols

May 18, 2021

Dear SNC community,

In light of new CDC guidelines, effective immediately those who are fully vaccinated no longer are required to wear face masks while on campus in either indoor or outdoors spaces. Those who are not fully vaccinated should continue to wear masks in indoor spaces, unless they are in their personal living spaces or workspaces and are properly distanced.

You are considered fully vaccinated if it has been two or more weeks since your last dose of vaccine.

While this is a key milestone, please understand that this is a significant change for many. Please respect anyone who decides to continue wearing a mask, and continue showing one another the kindness, compassion and understanding that are hallmarks of our St. Norbert College community.

The college is continuing to gather additional information and guidance related to physical distancing and meetings and events. We will share this information with the community when it is available.

We’d also like to remind you that Health Services now provides individual appointments for COVID-19 vaccination. Individuals may make an appointment by calling 920-403-3266. The college continues to strongly recommend all eligible persons (in Wisconsin, anyone age 16 or older) to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have a medical condition that prevents them from doing so.

Vaccination carries these additional key benefits:

  • You protect yourself and your loved ones from illness.
  • You are doing your part to decrease COVID incidence/spread in our communities.
  • You are exempt from quarantine if listed as a close contact (once fully vaccinated).
  • You are exempt from surveillance/screening testing (once fully vaccinated).
