COVID update: In-person classes resume Feb. 7

Feb. 2, 2022

Dear SNC community,

We’re excited to share with you that in-person classes will resume on Monday, Feb. 7, as planned. Data from state and Brown County health officials shows a shrinking case trajectory for our area and our state.

Furthermore, our own COVID-19 dashboard is trending in a positive direction. This is thanks, in part, to our comprehensive mitigation strategies as well as the commitment, persistence and flexibility shown by our students, faculty and staff to keep one another safe.

Though we’re seeing improved conditions, the college will continue depending on your flexibility and understanding as we progress through the spring semester. The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, and we must remain nimble in our approach. This may include lifting certain restrictions when we can safely do so.

Staying on campus and being together in community depends on all of us, and we must continue following these crucial safety measures:

  • Conduct daily self-checkups
  • Isolate and test if you experience any COVID-19 symptoms
    • Students experiencing symptoms can receive no-cost tests through Health Services. Contact or 920-403-3266.
    • Employees can check here for testing locations in the community, and are encouraged to order free tests from the U.S. government, if you haven’t done so already.
  • Wear masks indoors on campus unless you are in your personal residential space or private workspace.
  • Get vaccinated and boosted, if eligible. Health Services offers both COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots for all students, faculty and staff. Contact or 920-403-3266.
  • For students who have yet to move to campus: Submit your entry test results prior to your arrival, if you haven’t done so already. Upload test results to the confidential Health Services Patient Portal.
  • For unvaccinated students, in line with CDC recommendations:
    • Comply with regular surveillance testing.
    • Quarantine when identified as a close contact.

For additional information on the college’s COVID-19 response, view the college’s operational overview. If you have questions about protocols, please email; your message will be forwarded to the office or individual best able to respond.

As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this ever-evolving situation. We’re excited to welcome everyone fully back to campus, and to see students back in classrooms!
