Students can earn teaching certification in two or more areas: choral music for grades 6-12, instrumental music for pre-K to 12 and general music for pre-K to 12. Music Education at St. Norbert College is a four year guarantee with 100 percent placement rate.

Music Theory and Aural Skills
Music theory is the study of musical practices and structure. It helps create a framework for understanding why music works the way it does. You will have an opportunity to compose original works based on historical models at an advanced level. 

Aural Skills is essential musical training that helps students to develop their musical perception, memory and understanding.
