High featured in faculty trombone recital at St. Norbert College

The St. Norbert College Music Department will present a Faculty Trombone Recital featuring Eric High, assistant professor of music and low brass, on Friday, October 17, at 3:00 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Admission is free and open to the public.

High will be accompanied by Elaine Moss, adjunct instructor of music. Works by Camille Saint-Saens, Mark Phillips, Donald White and David Gillingham will be performed.

High has been an assistant professor at St. Norbert since 2005. Before coming to the college, he taught public school in Gilbert, Ariz. An active performer, High has given recitals in Minnesota, Arizona, Tennessee and Wisconsin. While living in Arizona, he played with the Arizona Opera, the Salt River Brass Band and the Southwest Brass. Since moving to Wisconsin, he has performed with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, the Fox Valley Symphony, Bay City Swing and the Dudley Birder Choral.
