St. Norbert College to hold 23rd annual Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Undergraduate Math Conference

The 23rd annual Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Undergraduate Math Conference will be held Nov. 7-8 in Austin E. Cofrin Hall at St. Norbert College.

Eve Torrence, president-elect of Pi Mu Epsilon and mathematics professor at Randolph-Macon College, will be the featured speaker at the event. Torrence earned her Ph.D. in mathematics in 1991 from the University of Virginia. Her current research interests include origami and elementary mathematics education. She served as the chair of the Maryland-DC-Virginia section of the Mathematical Association of America from 2005-2007.

Registration at the event begins Friday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. and will be followed by student talks and Torrence
