St. Norbert college professor publishes new book "A Living Light"

E.L. Risden, an associate professor of English at St. Norbert College, has published "A Living Light." (2009-Wipf & Stock Publishers)
This book explores some of the major events in the life of Hildegard of Bingen: mystic, physician, composer, and one of the foremost intellectuals of the Middle Ages.

E.L.Risden has published books and essays on medieval and renaissance studies as well as poetry and fiction. He published "Heroes, Gods and the Role of Epiphany in English Epic Poetry." (2008-McFarland & Company, Inc., Publishers) Risden also published Beowulf for Business. (2007-Whitston Publishers)

He is sought after as a reviewer of scholarly books and articles and as a speaker for literary conferences.
Risden joined the faculty at St. Norbert College in 1990.
