Boogie and the Yo-Yo'z will be opening the "Knights on the Fox" summer concert series on Tuesday, July 14. Mike Walsh, mayor of the City of De Pere, will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies. The concert, held in the heart of the St. Norbert College campus, is free and open to the public.

Boogie and the Yo-Yo'z is a variety rock show band, playing the hits for all ages. The Appleton-based group has seven members and provides a fun, exciting show of your favorite songs. Their sets consist of a blend of rock (from the John Cougar Mellencamp to Matchbox 20) and country (from Neil McCoy to Gretchen Wilson). You'll also hear some of today's pop music like KT Tunstell and some old standards from Paul Simon.

"Knights on the Fox" features live music in a casual atmosphere along the banks of the Fox River. Carry in your own picnic--or concessions, food and beverages available for purchase on site. New for 2009, Phil's, located in the Campus Center, will be open for business, offering a variety of grill and deli items. The picnics begin at 5:00 p.m.; followed by the concerts from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Concerts will be canceled in the event of rain. Check our web site or call for updates on the status of the performance.

Come by land or by water, as the docks at the Thompson Marina will be open. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and join us for another summer of great music and fun! Ample parking is available in the lots at Third Street and College Avenue, with handicapped parking in the lot near Old St. Joseph Church. Follow the signs to find your way to the parking lots.
