Students, faculty and staff of St. Norbert College will celebrate and serve on "Make it a Day On, Not a Day Off," the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 18.

The event involves a day of service to the local community, during which members of the St. Norbert community will teach elementary students about King's message of respect for others and assist area social service agencies dedicated to serving those in need.

A few of this year's service sites include St. Vincent de Paul, Paul's Pantry, Woodside Lutheran Home, Westwood and Notre Dame Elementary Schools in De Pere, Fort Howard Elementary School, the Tsyunhehkwa Center, and the Family and Childcare Resource Center of N.E.W. St. Norbert will be partnering with local creative design and advertising agency, Arketype, at the school service sites.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is endorsed by the administration of St. Norbert College. President Thomas Kunkel will be participating from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Paul's Pantry.
