Katelyn Webster '11 receives St. Norbert College education award

Katelyn Webster, of Sheboygan, Wis., received the Reverend E.J. La Mal award through the education department at St. Norbert College. The Award, presented at the Academic Awards Dinner on April 26, recognizes the outstanding scholarship of a senior education major at St. Norbert College. Webster graduated summa cum laude in May, and also completed St. Norbert College's honors program.

Reverend E.J. La Mal, O. Praem, coordinated and guided the St. Norbert College teacher-preparation program to a position of stature and strength among Catholic and public colleges and universities in the Midwest. For more than thirty years, Father La Mal distinguished himself in the field of education through service to many professional education associations.

Faculty in the education discipline select the recipient of the annual award based on overall grade point average, grade point average in education, Christian spirit and professional demeanor, participation in professional organizations, and extra curricular involvement.
