De Pere: St. Norbert College presents architectural watercolors by Judith Tomter on September 30- October 22 in the Baer Gallery, Bush Art Center. The gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The solo exhibition will feature approximately 20 watercolor paintings inspired by many older homes common in Wisconsin. Tomter studies the line, shape and space of the structures of the houses and use the architectural features as basis for her work. Her work was showcased in N.E. Chapter of Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors exhibition in 2003. Examples of her work include portion of houses portrayed in a precisionist style. Tomter lives in Oshkosh. She paints exclusively in watercolor for the past 10 years and has exhibited her work in many shows and competitions throughout the state. She is a member of Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors and the Wisconsin Watercolor Society. She received her B.A and M.A in art from University of Wisconsin, Madison.
